Students Building Bridges (Literally)

Three local students and their teacher built this bridge last year as a school project.Timber%20Framed%20Covered%20Bridge,%20Darlington%20Wisconsin

I met them at a recent school-to-work/career/technical education conference. After talking with the students, I commented to a colleague, “These kids learned more through this project than I did in graduate school.”

Real world projects that tap higher order thinking skills.  An example of expressive capital.

  1. John – Thanks for putting the Bridge project on your web site and the link to the pictures and story. I will share this with the students. Will let you know when we start the second bridge for the Darlington community. Looks like you are as addicted to technology as I am about building stuff.
Hope to learn more from you in the future. Dick
