I’m Good Enough, I’m Smart Enough…
Aug 18th, 2007 by John Pederson
I’ve watched a bit of recent edublogger commentary encouraging new folks to keep going. :) I just wanted to remind new folks that Ira Glass (master storyteller) thinks your stuff stinks. When I say "your", I mean mine to. Even after 6 years. Really. Just keep at it.
Great stuff, John! Ira showed great courage in even deconstructing one of his poorer performances. Most of my writing I still wince about even as I hit the “post it” button and I wonder who on earth would ever read it. Even as a high school English teacher, I fight with the writer’s block and angst on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing, I did need the encouragement!
I love Ira’s descriptions of storytelling and creativity even more that his wonderful work. And this topic also takes my thoughts back to the general mess our education system makes of creativity. Another good link:

It’s also available in TedTalks on iTunes.

Thanks, John. I’d watched this and forgotten it.
Take care,
